I just came across a great example of a conscious business enjoying phenomenal success!  The founders of Method wondered why there weren’t any cleaning products that were well designed and green that actually worked and weren’t stinky. Together, these two childhood friends created Method, eco-friendly products made with non-toxic ingredients that ‘clean like heck and smell like heaven’. They scraped together $100k to start the business but then came the dot com bust, and pretty soon they were down to their last $16. But with some smart thinking and the support of their vendors they made it through.  Convinced of the power of design to set them apart, they wrote to global design guru Karim Rashid and asked him to come on board as Chief Creative Officer – much to their delight he said yes.  Today Method is is a $100m company and is is building a strong following for their “People against Dirty” movement – check out their ‘humanifesto
