Thinking in Pictures

I recently came across this wonderful talk by Dr Temple Grandin that gives a fascinating glimpse into the autistic mind.  Dr Grandin is herself autistic and has used her incredible ability to think in pictures to revolutionise the design of livestock handling facilities.  She suggests that people on the autistic spectrum fall into three basic categories of ‘specialised brains’: Visual Thinkers, Pattern Thinkers & Verbal Thinkers – and that the world needs to understand and embrace all of these types of minds if we are to realise our full potential.
