Last week I was incredibly priviledged to attend an event hosted by Changelabs who brought Dr Brene Brown out to Australia to talk about her research on Shame and Vulnerability. It was the best talk I have ever heard – over the 2 hours I went from being close to tears, to quiet moments of reflection, to laughing so much I was crying. I have taken away some wonderful lessons in leadership from her talk but the most precious is what I have learned about how I can help my two sons grow up ‘wholehearted’ and to be able to embrace vulnerability. This TED talk is great ‘taster’ of her work and for those who are interested in finding our more, she has written a book titled The Gifts of Imperfection.
